Belleview Community Church
What to Expect at a Sunday Service

We believe that while worship is giving every moment of every day for God’s purposes, He is also really excited about his church getting together on Sunday morning to focus on Him. We begin at 9 am with a youth Sunday school class, one adult Sunday school class as well as seasonal electives.

Every fourth Sunday of the month our kids and youth ministries combine with parents for Family Sunday.  The entire family gets a chance to interact with what scripture says about real-life situations here and around the globe. They have simulated what it is like to live as a homeless person, experienced just how little some people in the world have to eat, and had a number of other interactive opportunities.

We as a church want to do our best to train parents and give them as many resources as possible. Our main service starts at 10:15 a.m. and lasts until about 11:30 am. You will experience teaching from the Bible, contemporary music, and a number of other elements including things like drama, testimonies, and prayer. We love getting together as a church family and would love to have you join us. Feel free to show up early if you need additional info about kids and have a cup of coffee before the service begins.

What is Worship?

Psalm 42:2 "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?" I once heard a worship leader say that the deepest longing of the human heart is to meet with God. When we think about all of the things that we make our lives about; sports, money, relationships, success, even family - we realize that none of them can really fulfill us or answer our questions about the meaning of life. When you meet God, you realize that life is about Him. We believe that everything we do throughout the day is an act of worship if we are doing it for the Lord. Romans 12:1 in the Message translation says, "So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering . . . Fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out." Worship is life. Even though we acknowledge worship as much more than Sunday morning, we also think that Sunday morning gives us a wonderful opportunity to worship together. We use Biblical teaching, prayer, giving, fellowship, and music to worship God on Sunday mornings. We love having new people join us so feel free to stop in anytime during the work week or just drop in on a Sunday morning!
